At the Equestrian Estate site, Founder and CEO Sam Fertik explains how strength, scale, and foresight are shaping this modern country estate.
We’re excited to share an update from the site of our Equestrian Estate project in Greenwich. Construction is well underway, and the vision for this modern country estate is coming to life. Here’s a look at what’s happening on - and in - the ground.
The bones of a truly modern estate
From the outset, this home was designed to blend durability with elegance. Indoors and outdoors feel deeply connected - steelwork in the foyer forms a striking bridge that ties into the sculptural staircase, upstairs catwalk, and floating steel fireplace. Many of these elements, highlighted in the video, will remain visible, showcasing the home’s structural integrity and design-forward approach.
This really is no ordinary build. With solid concrete floor systems, steel beams, and a light-gauge steel roof structure, this home is incredibly strong, resilient, and energy efficient.
Exceptional living for owners and guests
Inside the main house, a mix of cozy rooms and a large shared living space creates the perfect balance for everyday living and entertaining. The guesthouse, though smaller in scale, makes a bold architectural statement. Full-length colonnades on the north and south sides give it rhythm and a sense of scale that echoes the main house.
Future-proofing, built in
In this video, Sam explains the thinking that went into the homeowners’ sunken tennis court. It was originally designed with standard retaining walls, but since we were excavating anyway, we worked with the architectural team to upgrade the build to a court with full footings and a frost wall, at no added cost.
That single decision unlocks endless future potential: a covered court, riding arena, or car barn (to name but a few). It’s the kind of thoughtful, future-proof design we know adds real long-term value. It’s something the owners can enjoy now, easily adjust to fit new demands later on, and even profit from down the line, if they choose to sell.
