About the project

A family estate on 30 exquisite acres of pastoral farmland in Greenwich, CT.

This modern estate, envisioned as a sanctuary for a young and growing family, unites sustainable design with architectural elegance. The property comprises a 12,000-square-foot main home and a 2,500-square-foot guest house, both carefully sited to complement the natural rhythm of the equestrian surroundings. At its heart is a dramatic, two-and-a-half-story space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that emphasize a profound connection to the outdoors through uninterrupted pastoral views.

What is ICF?

And why do we use it?

An incredible space is taking shape

The home’s main entertaining space opens entirely to its surroundings, with vast triple-paned glass and expressed steelwork blurring the line between indoors and out. At its heart, the floating steel chimney rises above what will be a truly spectacular fireplace: a boulder quarried from the site itself, carved into a giant burner that is part sculpture, part hearth - an elemental centerpiece that really grounds the space. Integrated audio will complete the experience, immersing the homeowners and their guests in both sound and setting.

Our commitment to effortless efficiency

Standing 13 feet tall, the huge triple-pane Cortizo doors imported and installed at the Equestrian Estate create an effortless threshold to the outdoors. Two operable panels flank a fixed central unit, each moving smoothly on precisely engineered concealed hardware. A flush floor transition is already in place, while a seamless stucco return will deliver a refined architectural finish that complements the home’s exterior. It’s an opening that feels totally fluid yet performs to exceptional energy standards.
