Cantilevered retreat reimagining a 1960s mountainside home.
Crafted in collaboration with Kevin M. Kudo-King of Olson Kundig, the Cantilevered Mountain House is an avant-garde residence set across 14 acres in northern Westchester County, reimagining a 1960s home once perched on this granite mountainside.
Steel and glass volumes cantilever above a stone base, with 14-ft ceilings and floor-to-ceiling Reynaers glazing framing southern lake and valley views. Interiors feature bespoke millwork, wood ceilings with integrated speakers, and Gaggenau appliances, supported by eight 500-ft geothermal wells, solar-ready systems, battery storage, and a concealed generator.

"The main difference between Carbon and other builders is an awareness of architecture and design that they bring to the table. There’s a level of care and willingness to go that extra step - a commitment to the architecture, the owner, and the project."
